The purpose of the AAT Certificate in Accounting is to offer grounding in the core accounting knowledge and skills needed to progress either to employment or to further study. Assessment
There are three assessments in total. These are taken at a registered assessment centre, we will give you full support in choosing your exam centre.
Three are individual unit assessments which test a specific unit:
- Introduction to Bookkeeping
- Principles of Bookkeeping Controls
- Principles of Costing
One is a synoptic assessment which is set after the first two subjects but also covers law & economics.
- The Business Environment
Unit assessments are available on-demand, whereas Synoptic assessments is only available on set weeks each month.
You can achieve the following grades
- Distinction: 90-100%
- Merit: 80-89%
- Pass: 70-79%
