Course overview
If you are interested in gaining your AET qualification, studying with MKLC Training is an easy, professional, and enjoyable experience.
Our qualified tutors support our students with regular feedback and guidance. We aim to ensure everyone has completed their assignments during the week, and ready to present their micro-teach sessions to the rest of the group at the end of the week. Micro teach sessions are held on the final day of the course, and students must be available to present their micro-teach either face to face or via Skype.
The online AET means you get to study at times to suit you, and most of our students choose to access the course in the evenings and over the weekend.

FAQ's
What is a microteach?
A microteach is a short lesson that is delivered either in person or via Skype to a group of peers. It is a 15-minute structured lesson and needs to be approved by your tutor. We recommend that it is based on a hobby or interest, rather than your actual teaching/training subject.
Can I deliver courses with this?
Most need clarification between the teacher needs to be qualified and courses being accredited.
How will the learners have resources for my lesson if I deliver my microteach by Skype? Does MKLC provide these?
We have some basic items that can be purchased, or if there are specialist items that students need, these can be sent in. We would recommend confirming with the office when you know the topic of your microteach.
When would I receive access to the course?
Course access is usually emailed through to students the day before the course begins.
If I attend in person, are you close to transport links?
We are located in Midsummer Blvd, Central Milton Keynes – just 1 minute’s drive from the train station, or a 10-minute straight walk. Alternatively, there is parking available (parking charges apply in some areas).
Who's it for?
This qualification is targeted at those who are new to teaching and can be regarded as a stepping stone to the certificate (CET) and diploma (DET) at a later date.
