It is imperative that to become a criminal psychologist a person must have a genuine interest in why someone commits a crime and find their reactions after the crime which has been committed fascinating.
Our level 4 diploma in Criminal Psychology is a comprehensive course, and complex due to the nature of the topic, which requires in total, 360 hours of study split across 17 interesting and in-depth modules.
The modules entail the exploration of criminal behaviour, and the psychology behind it. The course covers various research methods, more specifically, how these methods help psychologists to understand the complexities as to why some people turn to crime.
Criminal psychology on a whole is fundamental in many crime-detecting fields, in both the investigation of crime and prosecutions. This course also looks at how this field of study can help convict criminals too.

Some background knowledge of criminal psychology would be desirable. However, not mandatory, as students will receive the required resources and guidance from our expert tutors. There are also some useful tips on how to structure essays, should you have been out of education for some time.

Assessment
