This NEBOSH National Diploma in Environmental Management is ideal for those who have responsibilities in managing environmental risks as a result of workplace activities and want to progress their career or develop their knowledge further. Duration study load
You will have up to one year to complete your course, which is plenty of time to ensure you are able to study for your course at your own pace. The approximate study time is 150-190 hours, but you can take as much or as little time as you need.
Entry requirements
You must have previously completed NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate.

Assessment
You will need to complete three online open-book exams. You can find full details of what is included in these assessments below.
ED1 – written exam
This is a three-hour written exam that you will need to complete in person. Exam venues available for this assessment are based in Bolton, Hull, Coventry, London, Bristol, Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, and Aberdeen.
If you choose to add your exams to your enrolment with Open Study College, we will book and pay for your assessments for you. If you do not add the exams option to your enrolment, you will be responsible for booking and paying for your assessments if you wish to achieve the qualification.
You will be able to take the exam in either February or July.
NDEM2 – written project
You will need to complete a workplace-based project with consideration of environmental regulations. The length of your completed project will be 8,000 words.
This can be done in February, May, August, or November.
Delivery
You will study for your course entirely online and receive full tutor support through email. The online portal makes learning more interactive with presentations, audio recordings, and interactive modules. You will also have access to downloadable resources and NEBOSH revision aids, as well as student and tutor forums and one-to-one contact with your tutor.
