About ELCAS Funding
ELCAS stands for the Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service, and is a run by the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD).
It provides eligible serving UK Armed Forces personnel and veterans with financial assistance towards nationally recognised qualifications (Level 3 or above) to help them transition into civilian careers.
You must study with an approved ELCAS Provider
ELCAS (Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service) funding is open to serving and former UK Armed Forces personnel who have completed at least 4 to 6 years of eligible service.
Veterans can typically claim up to 10 years after leaving the military.
Your tier of funding and eligibility depend on when you served and how long you have served.
Lower Tier: Requires a minimum of 6 years of eligible service, or 4 years if you completed it before April 1, 2017. This covers 80% of course fees up to £1,000 per year.
Higher Tier: Requires a minimum of 8 years of eligible service. This covers 80% of course fees up to £2,000 per year
