The Level 3 Diploma for Working in the Early Years Sector is a professional qualification that prepares you to become an Early Years Educator (EYE). It focuses on developing your knowledge, skills, and understanding to work with children from birth to five years, and to understand children up to seven years. This program goes beyond basic care, aiming to develop you into a critical, reflective, and ethical practitioner. The curriculum is grounded in an ecological systems perspective and integrates contemporary neuroscience into practice. Upon completion, you will be eligible to be included in staff-to-child ratios in an early years setting.

Entry requirements

Assessment
This qualification is assessed through an internally assessed and externally quality-assured portfolio of evidence. Units are graded as achieved/not yet achieved. The portfolio will include written reports, reflective accounts, and practical evidence from your workplace, supported by witness statements.
