The BCS Practitioner Certificate in Business Analysis Practice is a practitioner-level qualification certified by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. It sits at the heart of the BA role: understanding the business situation, working out what really needs to change, and shaping the solution.

You’ll learn to analyse the strategic context, map stakeholder perspectives, build business activity models, find the gaps between how things are and how they should be, and develop and justify the right solution through a business case.

It is one of the two mandatory core modules of the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis. There is no formal prerequisite, though some practical BA experience helps and the Foundation Certificate is recommended first.

Assessment

The official BCS exam is an optional add-on available at checkout. It is a closed-book, multiple-choice exam with the following format:
