How long will my PRINCE2® certification be valid for?
Your PRINCE2® certification is valid for 3 years from the date you pass your exam.
To maintain your certified status and keep your skills up to date, you’ll need to renew your qualification before it expires. You can do this in one of the following ways:
- Retake the exam: Simply retake the same PRINCE2® exam before your certification expiry date.
- Progress within the PRINCE2® suite: Take a further course and pass another exam in the same certification family (e.g. moving from Foundation to Practitioner).
- Log CPD points: Maintain your certification by actively collecting and recording Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points through your PeopleCert Plus membership (which is included in the cost of your course with us!).
Renewing your certification helps you stay current, competitive, and confident in your project management career.
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for the PRINCE2 Foundation course, making it accessible to anyone interested in project management.
If you already have a project management qualification, you might be able to skip this level and go straight to the advanced PRINCE2 Practitioner course.
If English is your second language, we recommend you have an IELTS 6.5/ESOL Level 2 or equivalent, but we’re happy to review your case on an individual basis.
