Your PRINCE2® certification is valid for 3 years from the date you pass your exam.
To maintain your certified status and keep your skills up to date, you’ll need to renew your qualification before it expires. You can do this in one of the following ways:
- Retake the exam: Simply retake the same PRINCE2® exam before your certification expiry date.
- Progress within the PRINCE2® suite: Take a further course and pass another exam in the same certification family (e.g., moving from Foundation to Practitioner).
- Log CPD points: Maintain your certification by actively collecting and recording Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points through your PeopleCert Plus membership (which is included in the cost of your course with us!).

Entry requirements
As this course begins with the introductory PRINCE2® Foundation qualification, you don’t need any experience or qualifications to enrol. However, some experience working in a project environment would be helpful.
If you already hold a project management qualification, you might be able to skip the Foundation level and go straight to the advanced PRINCE2® Practitioner course.
If English is your second language, we recommend you have an IELTS 6.5/ESOL Level 2 or equivalent, but we’re happy to review your case on an individual basis.

Assessment
At the Foundation level, you’ll complete a secure, 60-minute online proctored exam. You’ll be required to answer 60 multiple-choice questions and must achieve a 60% pass mark.
At the Practitioner level, the exam is a 150-minute online proctored exam with 70 questions. To pass, you’ll also need a score of 60% or higher. However, this exam is open book, so you can refer to your official PRINCE2® manual throughout.
