Course overview

The Professional Diploma in Accounting covers the preparation of financial statements, budget management, and financial performance review, and optional specialist units, including business tax, personal tax, external auditing, credit management, and cash and treasury management. It covers advanced accounting functions and can have a range of financial roles.

The course consists of three compulsory units (also called subjects) and five optional units. You must pass all required assessments and two optional unit tests to qualify.

Assessment

You must book your exam as soon as you plan to finish your course. To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking early as this may interfere with your study plans. Note that you still need to book your exams separately. All assessments at this stage are computer-based exams (CBE).

You will be awarded (pass, merit, or distinction) based on your performance. Unit assessments are not graded individually, but the scores obtained in all examinations contribute to your overall grade eligibility.

Payment options

The standard eligibility fee includes £251 for registration and five Assessment fees of £110 per assessment, for a total of £801.

If you have a relevant job orare already working in a relevant field and want to improve your education, your employer can fund your tuition fees. You need to talk to them to see if you are eligible and if they are willing to support the cost.

Payment plans

Our interest-free payment plan covers the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting. You must spend a minimum of £500 on qualifying for a payment plan. This will spread the cost of your tuition for up to 12 months at no extra cost.
