Is cyber security a good career?

September 18, 2019 by

We’ve listed four good reasons why we think cyber security is a good career:

  1. Less Competition and higher wages: Because cyber security is a relatively new job area compared to more traditional IT jobs such as IT support, there are less qualified cyber security professionals about. This means less competition and higher wages.
  2. Demand for professionals: As the number of cyber-attacks increase across the globe, coupled with tighter government regulations around data protection, there is no shortage in demand for cyber security professionals.
  3. Career advancement: Cyber security experts have above-average opportunities for career advancement.
  4. New challenges and better job fulfilment: Cyber security gives you the chance to take on new challenges and make a real difference in the world by helping to protect people and combat cyber-crime.
