LAJ Academy Limited is a UK-registered private training provider and a City & Guilds Approved Centre, delivering Health and Social Care programmes for people building a career in the care sector — whether you are entering your first care role, progressing towards a senior carer or team leader, or returning after a break.We teach through blended learning: self-paced online modules you can study around shift patterns on any device, combined with live tutor-led sessions and assessment in your own workplace. Every learner is assigned a dedicated tutor and assessor who stays with them from enrolment to certification — planning their assessment schedule, carrying out direct workplace observation of practice, giving individual feedback, and keeping them on track. You are never left to work through material alone.The curriculum covers person-centred care, dignity and independence, safeguarding, duty of care and professional boundaries, equality and inclusion, communication in care settings, health, safety and infection prevention, consent and mental capacity, supporting individuals with dementia, learning disabilities and long-term conditions, information handling, and the standards underpinning CQC inspection. Progression pathways extend into care planning, supervision and leading a care team, with Level 3 and Level 4 provision launching from August 2026.Support does not stop at the qualification. We help learners with employment throughout and after their course — CV and application support, interview preparation, and guidance on finding and securing roles in the care sector — so the certificate translates into an actual job or promotion.LAJ Academy was founded by Dr Jonathan Ajah (MBBS, MPH, MSc, MWACS, MAcadMed, FHEA, MRCS), a practising clinician and medical educator, and that clinical grounding shapes everything we write.
