What classes do you need to take to become a cyber security expert?

If you don’t have a background in IT, then you’ll need to learn the fundamentals of computing and networking before studying cyber security with the aim of eventually becoming a cyber security expert. Most beginner-level cyber security courses will cover this at the start. Avoid courses with the title ‘Expert’ or ‘Advanced’ when starting off. They typically mean the courses are aimed at experienced IT professionals. Look for courses with the words ‘beginner’ or ‘entry-level’ in their title.
