Course overview
The ILM Level 3 Programmes in Coaching offer a professional introduction to coaching for team leaders and first-line managers and for those who have a coaching role. They give team leaders and managers the opportunity to move into a role as a coach in their workplace.
The programmes will also help them gain a detailed understanding of good practice in workplace coaching, the knowledge and skills required to plan and organise a programme of coaching and the opportunity to put this into practice whilst receiving coaching and supervision.

Entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements, but participants will normally be either practising team leaders or first-line managers or have a workplace coaching role and the opportunity to meet the assessment demands.
Assessment
Reflective review/assignments/coaching or mentoring diary / personal development plan.
Students are also required to demonstrate their ability to plan, deliver and review at least 12 hours of coaching practice with 4 coachees.
Delivery
Attendance Method: Blended delivery, featuring professional coaching and supervision, online learning and reflective practice.
4 x 1 hr coaching & supervision sessions (MS Teams or Zoom) – 12 hours of coaching practice
Each unit involves a number of learning activities.
- Online learning
- Monthly coaching/supervision sessions with a highly experienced executive coach/supervisor
- Completion of a series of Reflective Reviews designed to help you reflect on your progress.
- A series of practical activities which guide students through the coaching process from contracting to evaluation.
- Regular feedback from your coach/supervisor and the assessment team
